The Resilience Playground combines the art of improvisation with positive psychology to teach the vital life skills that every child needs to learn. Kids have told us that they feel more confident and less anxious after doing our workshops.

The Resilience Playground enhances emotional intelligence (EQ), and your ability to work well with others. It builds resilience so that your child can handle adversity and develops communication skills and creative thinking - two of the most important skills for success in life.

And the great thing is you don’t even have to be a performer to do this course. Anyone can do it. It is basically learning cool things about yourself while playing.

The Resilience Playground pedagogy

The Resilience Playground is designed by Wade Jackson, artistic director and high performance coach. Wade has spent over two decades in the personal development space working with people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. We use embodied learning and play to embed the learning and make it accessible for kids.

What the students said about the storytelling week…

What the parents say:

“We love the Covert Theatre!  My son Felix has enjoyed The Resilience Playground for well over 2 years and I've delightfully seen him grow in so many ways. The improvement in his confidence, at expressing his ideas and communicating with his fellow peers has been amazing. I could go on and on about the benefits I see as a parent but he just thinks it's loads of fun. He always leaves each session beaming and energetic (and I'm not exaggerating). The instructors  are kind and understanding and he loves the play. I honestly don't know where he would be without it.”

Rachel, mum

“The Resilience Playground has had an instant impact on my son’s confidence and freedom. He loved it and at the end referred to himself as someone who used to be shy. Even his teachers at school noticed the difference after just a few classes.”

Ruth, mum

“It’s such a great program. My daughter suffers from anxiety at times so was nervous before it stated but she loved it. She’s calmer and talks about how much fun it is. Thank you.”
