The Covert is a vibrant space, home to fun and creativity and is perfect for off-site meetings, business strategy sessions, product launches, conferences, presentations - you name it!
Dependability
The Covert is an 86-seat theatre with a separate foyer and bar. We have an onsite kitchenette so you can cater your event.
Flexibility
The retractable seating system means you can put the theatre seats away and create a more intimate setting with cabaret seats or around tables.
Availability
The venue is available for hire 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am – 3.00pm Saturday & Sunday.

Minimum hire
$300 + GST (up to 2 hours)
Half-day
$600 + GST (up to 4 hours)
Full day
$1,200 + GST (up to 8 hours)
We offer charitable rates for not-for-profit organisations.
Rental inclusions
The use of the foyer as a breakout room.
Whiteboard & markers if required.
Venue co-ordinator on site.
LIGHTING
Basic lighting is included in your venue hire.
There is a generic lighting rig in the theatre.
AV equipment and additional lighting requirements can be sourced at a cost.
SOUND
A standard vocal P.A system is included in your venue hire.
This includes:
2x Wired Vocal Microphones
Extra audio equipment can be sourced at a cost.
STAGING
A 9.5m wide x 6m deep, flat floor stage, with black backdrop and wing tabs is included in your venue hire.
Further staging equipment can be sourced at a cost.
Additional costs:
Technician: $35 + GST per hour
Bar staff: $35 + GST per hour
